The ladies ministry at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church has the same purpose of all New Testament church ministries – to bring glory to Jesus Christ. Specficially, we strive to follow the Titus 2 charge (Titus 2:3-5) of the younger women and older women coming together to disciple, mentor, fellowship, and serve together with our focus on our Lord Jesus Christ.
We do this by planning events throughout the year – prayer walks, events, retreats, Bible studies, and activities – to allow ladies opportunities to invite others to hear the Gospel and to foster friendships with other believers for continual spiritual growth. All ladies are a “younger” woman and “older” woman to someone which gives us the challenge to continue to grow and teach others until the Lord calls us home.
We encourage all ladies to get connected through one of our various adult Bible classes. It is a great way to meet other ladies and to grow in the Word of God.

🌸 Coming in 2026: The Proverbs 31 Series 🌸
We are excited to introduce a new Proverbs 31–inspired series for our ladies ministry!
This series will be offered quarterly, with each season focusing on a different attribute of the Proverbs 31 Woman. Our goal is to encourage growth that is both spiritual and practical, helping us live out biblical truth in our everyday lives.
Each quarter will include:
-
A Bible-centered gathering where we study Scripture together on a Wednesday evening
-
A hands-on class that applies those principles in practical, meaningful ways generally on a Tuesday evening
Topics throughout the year will reflect the seasons such as:
-
Simplifying and stewarding our homes and hearts
-
Health and strength
- Hospitality
-
Canning and preserving
-
Baking, decorating, and creative skills
Whether you are looking to grow spiritually, learn something new, or connect with other ladies, we hope you’ll join us. More details and dates will be shared soon!
The ladies Bible study groups resume meeting for the spring on Thursday, February 5. We will conclude the book, “A Woman of Prayer,” by Betty Henderson. Books can be purchased for $10; see Amy Herdman or Leslie Farmer to receive your book. You can also pay with check or {exact} change ($10).
Groups meet every other Thursday at two different times – 10am in the HomeBuilders classroom (in the Family Life Center) or 7pm at the Herdman’s home. We will study the first six lessons for the fall study and will finish the book in the spring.
Most of us would acknowledge that we don’t pray as much as we should. And we admire the great men and women who seem to have found the answer to fervent praying. But we too can find the answer by asking the right question. What must change for me to spend more time alone with God?
A Woman of Prayer offers principles, practices, and portraits in prayer. A refreshingly practical and personal study for those in search of the God Who hears.
Meeting Dates: February 5, February 19, March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16
